A view down the line at this High Tech engineering plant

The low-profile machines made on this line are specifically designed for chicken farms.

The Kaizen team are focusing on this important section of the Dundalk plant with a very committed on-site team up to Christmas. By fully involving the entire assembly team in the process of Cell Design, flow and Kanban, This team of experienced and dedicated workers completely stripped all wasteful (muda) elements from their work area. Not only has this streamlined the operation but it has also enabled them to achieve their daily takt time.  More training on cell design and standard work combination sheets will be taking place over the next few weeks.

The secret to their success is the total involvement of the team in designing their own work area to make it simple, safe and effective. Joan and Mac are also helping the team with start of shift meetings, work breakdown and division of tasks, and stock management.

Well done to all on this team with progress to date
