Last year we held the first Irish conference on Kaizen and the process of continuous improvement in Irish business. In excess of 200 people attended and we decided to share our experiences again by organising a second conference this year. Around the same number of people attended this year and they were exposed to such a wide variety of positive achievements that one delegate said that he was "Blown away" by what he has seen.

The day flowed as follows with each speaker detailing how to achieve results:

1. Richard Burke outlined the basics behind the psychology of change and overcoming this challenge.

2. Norman Bodek helped participants to see beyond their 'four walls' and copy the Toyota experience

3. Pat McAdam outlined their experiences implementing Kaizen in Bose

4. Paul Teague gave an excellent presentation on the Moffett experience

5. Michael Daly of Mergon presented how his company exceed the expectations of Toyota

6. Antoinette McTigue showed how her expertly led team can achieve maximum results

7. Tony Corrigan presented the workings of the project using the DMAIC problem-solving approach

8. David Veech gave a very entertaining insight into how Lean effects the local culture and how to overcome difficulties through trust and respect.
